North Koreans Forced to Donate Food to Military

How's that communism working out for ya?

America's Radio Free Asia reported that North Korea has begun collecting food from its citizens to feed its military.

The US broadcaster reported Wednesday that Pyeongyang has again begun to force residents to donate food supplies, such as beans and wheat, since the 1.2 million troops are suffering from serious food shortages.

The broadcaster said this is the third time in history that the communist state ordered its people to donate food items to the military.

The previous occasions were in the mid-to-late 1990s when millions starved to death, and in July 2002 when an emergency economic management measure was enforced.
