Liberal California has over 100 000 criminal aliens incarcerated. An audit was commissioned to find out how many and how much. You would think that the audit was done so that California can finally realise that it has to ship criminal aliens out of the state, back to their country of origin so that the state can stop bleeding money it doesn't have? You would be wrong. The audit was done so that more federal tax dollars could be secured! Yes, hard-working tax payer folks all around America - you will be funding criminals in California to the tune of $34 000 per inmate per year - compared to the $12 000 it costsTexas. Not only do Californians think that they're the best state, but they also think their criminals deserve the best upkeep. And how do these kind criminals repay the hard-working tax payer and the Californian liberals who provide such good digs? Why, the re-offend - up to seven times - just so they can get them some more of that kind hospitality. Liberal moonbats - they deserve everything coming to them.
The number of criminal aliens incarcerated in California rose to 102,795 in 2009, a 17 percent increase since 2003, federal auditors reported Thursday.
This isn't cheap. Nationwide, the Government Accountability Office reports, it costs well over $1.1 billion a year for states to imprison criminal aliens -- those who committed a crime after entering the United States illegally. California, moreover, is more expensive than other states. GAO auditors estimated California spends $34,000 to incarcerate a criminal alien for one year; in Texas, it's only $12,000.
The audit, requested by Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-San Jose, will provide ammunition for states' perennial effort to secure more federal reimbursement dollars.
More than one in four of the illegal immigrants imprisoned in California are behind bars for drug offenses. Many are also repeat offenders. GAO auditors say that, based on a survey, criminal alien inmates have been arrested an average of seven different times.
